Well hello there!

I'm Hilarye, the artist behind Hilarye's Handiwork.

I've always been a creative person, but it's taken me a long time to find my perfect medium. Watercolor, knitting, embroidery, painting, drawing, scrapbooking. You name it, I've tried it.
Nothing really fit. Until stained glass.

Here's my glass story:  

Once upon a time, I was a graphic designer. Then, I spent 17 years as a professional wedding photographer. Now, I am a business analyst by day & stained glass artist by night.

I took my first stained glass class in December 2021, & I immediately fell in love with this amazing craft. I knew I needed stained glass to be a part of my life forever, so I gathered all the necessary supplies & made a little studio in my garage.  Since then, I have spent countless hours designing, cutting, grinding, foiling, soldering, & polishing beautiful stained glass suncatchers/panels. Stained glass is a labor of love, & the perfect intersection of creativity, technical skills, & precision. 
It's literally the perfect medium for me!
